Soul Notes

BIBLICAL ALIENS
Many people believe that the human race, as we know it, is the culmination of God's best efforts to create intelligent life in the universe. Since the beginning of time, mankind has appointed himself as the earthly ruler of all physical things and we are even taught that the image of God has been created within us, through Gods very breath into our nostrils. In the "Nature of the Soul" and the "Nature of God", found in the Archives section of this website, we examined, in great detail, how God has imparted a divine spirit to us with cosmic knowledge that guides us, yet competes with our physical responses to the world around us, and that this divine spirit, or soul, is our link to our Creator. As such, our physical characteristics are therefore meaningless in our spiritual relationships.
Imagine for a moment, that God has imparted a similar spirit in other creatures throughout the universe. Their appearance would be different from ours, but, consistent with the environmental conditions in which they have lived and evolved. And, just like physical variances exist between the multiple races of mankind on our own planet, we would expect the physical differences to be of a more pronounced degree between earthlings and life on other planets, also created by God.
The fantasy of science fiction writers has given way to the very real discoveries by astrophysicists, astronomers, and courageous space explorers. The mathematical potential for the existence of other planets that are capable of sustaining life forms similar to our own is in the tens of millions, yet ..our ego and our arrogance refuse to accept the fact that God has other "children"; that God would dare to create other intelligent life forms that "look differently" from earthlings; that God could, just maybe, create life that is vastly superior, intellectually and spiritually to us.
To even imagine that intelligent life exists on some distant star or planet, seems like a sacrilegious thought to some people; like challenging some sacred text or orthodox teaching that makes it clear that God and the angels were created for heaven and mankind was created for Earth, nothing more. Well, shocking as it may sound, there is no such text or teaching that explains it that way and furthermore, the biblical stories and ancient writings that we do hold as sacred, detail the visitations to planet Earth by physical beings from another celestial origin.
There are some excellent books by writers that have spent countless amounts of their own time, efforts, and money searching this planet for any trace of remnants that could have been left behind when alien visitors left to return home. And, even though they have discovered paintings, cave drawings, artifacts, and ancient writings to prove their case, the general population still fails to accept the truth.
Now, don't get me wrong, here. I know that an enormous amount of people believe in "extraterrestrials". After all, now that we have advanced to the realm of space, well .maybe someone else has also. But, that is not our point here. I want you to look at the facts, as told by authors that have gained notoriety, not because of their research, but because they are believed to be "inspired by God". I want you to see that our little race of humanoids were not only visited by beings from another planet, but visited thousands of years ago when horses were key transportation vehicles; when flying was an activity that only birds could experience; and, when our knowledge of science and astronomy was non-existent. I want you to know the stories that were written by people who simply wrote about what they saw and had no benefit of the information about flight, and space, and intergalactic travel, as you do.
We don't have to look very far. Let's start in the beginning; in the very beginning of the Bible where Moses, the God inspired author of the first five books of the Old Testament writes in Genesis, Chapter 6, verses 1 and 2:
"And it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, [verse 2] That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."
At first, these verses just seems like many of the nondescript statements that are skipped over when the Bible is read because they really don't add or take much away from the story. Look closer! The Bible is describing three groups here: 1) men who are multiplying on the Earth, 2) sons of God, and 3) daughters of men. Apparently mankind was populating the Earth and they had some very nice looking daughters. Fine. So who were these "sons of God" that were observing them? They were not included in the "men" who were populating the Earth, so who were they? What does it mean that when they saw them, "that they were fair"?
Moses clearly makes a distinction between three groups and uses the term sons of God to identify beings that were different from "men". Were they angels? No. Moses would have said so. He mentions angels in other books so, why not just say so now? Because they were not angels.
Look at what he says in the 4th verse:
"There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."
OK. Hold the thought of the "sons of God", taking the "daughters of men" and producing giants by them. Let's look at one of the translated versions of the Dead Sea Scrolls, known as the "Genesis Apocryphon" which recounts a story about Noah's father, Lamech and his mother, Bitenosh. The Dead Sea Scrolls tell us that Lamech had some very serious doubts as to who may have fathered one of their children so, Lemech confronts Bitenosh:
"Behold, then, I thought in my heart that the conception was the work of the Watchers, and the pregnancy, of the Holy Ones, and it belonged to the Giants, and my heart within me was upset on account to this boy."
As Lamech pleaded with his wife for the truth, she said to him:
"Remember my pleasure. I swear to you by the Great Holy One, by the King of the heavens, that this seed comes from you, that this pregnancy comes from you, that the planting of this fruit comes from you, and not from any foreigner, or watcher, or son of heaven."
What in the world was this woman talking about? Her answer might have satisfied Lamech, but it sure causes me a lot of problems. What, pray tell, was a "watcher"? What was a "son of heaven"? What did she mean "foreigner"? Was she referring to someone from another city, another land, or another planet? Apparently, something other than normal men were residing on Earth impregnating women. I know that sounds a little off the wall, but remember, Moses said something almost identical.
In Genesis, Moses said the "sons of God" were here impregnating the daughters of men. Now, Lamech is fearful that one of these non-humans; a "Watcher", a "Holy One", a "son of heaven" has impregnated his wife, and that the baby "belonged to the Giants". Instead of her telling him there is no such thing, she casually confirms that, no, it was not one of them. Strange! But the story isn't over.
If we gratefully appeal to the exhaustive research of Erich von Däniken and reference to his book Signs of the Gods, we find a passage which he takes from Chapter 100 of the Kebra Nagast, also known as the "Glory of Kings", and reputed to be the national/religious epic of Ethiopia. The Kebra Nagast is regarded as the final authority on the early history of Ethiopia. A portion of Chapter 100 reads:
"But every daughter of Cain with whom the angels had consorted became pregnant, but could not give birth and died. And of the fruits of their wombs some died, and others came forth; they split their mother's womb and came out at the navel. When they were older and grew up, they became giants "
That makes three different references regarding beings, other than men, who had sex with earth women, impregnated them and produced giants. And, according to the Kebra Nagast, the fetus of these alien fathers were too much for the earth women (daughters of Cain) and the mothers all died in childbirth, even though some of the children lived.
There was a time, remember, when the fastest mode of transportation on Earth was a chariot and the idea of aerodynamic chariots, capable of flight, well that seems pretty absurd, doesn't it? But listen to this:
"And it came to pass as they still went on, and talked, that behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven".
This, according to the Bible, is an eyewitness account of an event that defies any test of logic which may be applied to the descriptive words, unless of course, those words were the only available vocabulary of the time. Spaceship, lunar lander, space shuttle, astronaut, thrusters, moon rover, parabolic orbit, etc., were just as unknown to the people then as "poceminx" is to you now.
In these startling passages of the Second Book of Kings, Chapter 2, we have two men traveling that day and visiting three different cities: Bethel, Jerico, and Jordan. Strangely enough, in each of the three cities, groups of men would come up to Elisha and tell him that Elijah was going to be taken away that day.
"Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to-day?", they would ask.
And how did Elisha respond? Pretty casually, actually.
"Yea, I know it", he replied.
Does this strike you as a little strange? First, how did the townspeople in all three cities know that Elijah was going to be taken away that day? Keep in mind that this was a few years before, Ted Turner and CNN, and Al Gore inventing the Internet (we know Al didn't but says he did, so humor him) But, the men in the small towns all knew about Elijah's leaving.
Second, how could Elisha be so calm about the whole thing? Elijah was someone that Elisha followed around the countryside, learning from him as they traveled. Elijah had wide repute as one of the greatest of all prophets. He and Elisha were close friends. Elisha was facing the event in which he would never see his mentor and friend again, yet he answers in such a manner.
Third, does Elisha know "how" his master is to be taken? If not, don't you believe that the method of departure would have been on his mind, and that he might have asked these townspeople who seemed to know so much? Remember, they said the Lord " would take away thy master ". If he did know how his master was to be taken away, wasn't he a little shocked at the idea of a "fiery chariot"? This was not an everyday event. Or was it?
But, this story even gets wilder.
"And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan."
Look carefully at this passage. First, the Bible makes a clear distinction of those that would watch Elijah be taken by the fiery chariot. Not, ordinary townsfolk mind you, but "men of the sons of the prophets". But, more importantly, they knew what was going to occur and they knew to take up a position to view the event from "afar", while "they two", meaning Elijah and Elisha, stood alone. Who were "sons of the prophets"? Why would they take a position "afar off"? What all did they know about the event that was about to occur?
Picturing this group of fifty men going to an area where they "stood to view afar off" sounds familiar. It should. You have probably seen something like this before if you have ever been at Cape Kennedy when they launched a rocket. NASA makes sure that you observe it from "afar". The whole scene of a group of people gathering to watch a launch at Cape Kennedy is just too coincidental to the description of the people gathering to watch the departure of Elijah.
Taking that thought a little further, try to remember the NASA animations of how the lunar lander came out of moon orbit and slowly descended to the lunar surface. On its' way down, the two pilots maneuvered the craft by firing small rockets to ease the touchdown to the precise point. Had you been standing "afar" on the moon observing the approach and landing of this tiny craft, you would have seen a "whirlwind" of lunar dust clouds, you would have seen the fiery rocket motors, and in an atmosphere like Earth's, you would have heard a tremendous roar of the rockets engines.
What are "horses of fire"? What is a "chariot of fire"? Now don't just read the verse and think that is a cool description of something you don't understand, and bounce over it and keep on with your reading. Think about what the writer is trying to say here. Look at those words. Picture that in your mind. A chariot and horses "of fire". Well, taken literally, it makes no sense at all. Assuming they could survive, what purpose is gained by having horses of fire? Does it have any purpose for Elijah? Does it prove God or His power? Personally, I believe the sight of a golden chariot coming from the sky, being drawn by a couple of rhinestone studded Clydesdales would have done it for me and I am living in the enlightened age of rocketry and space exploration. Surely that would have been sufficient to blow the minds of these pre-NASA, mid-eastern townsfolk. But, no, the writer of this biblical verse felt the need to say that the horses and the chariot were "of fire".
Permit me to offer another possibility. Remember that most people of the time of Elijah, traveled by foot. A chariot, as a mode of transportation, was the technical equivalent of the Supersonic Transport (SST) today. At that time, some 560 years B.C., a chariot was state of the art.
The writer took the most technically advanced mode of transportation he knew and added the fire he saw to it. He didn't say the chariot or the horses were "on fire", he said "of fire". And, he added a whirlwind. Why did he add fire and a whirlwind? Because that is what he saw! He saw a vehicle that was unknown to him and it had fire and created a whirlwind and he was describing it to people who knew a horse drawn chariot as the ultimate in technology. He did not actually see horses and a chariot that were on fire. In fact he did not see horses or a chariot at all. He saw a vehicle of some sort and it was moving through the air. He saw fire from rocket thrusters and knowing that the vehicle (normally a chariot) had to have some form of power source (normally horses) for it to move, he described the entire thing as "of fire".
There are dozens and dozens of references in ancient writings of the visitation by extraterrestrial to planet earth, but I want you to look at the most profound of them all, right in the Old Testament book of Ezekiel, where the first chapter says:
"And I looked, and behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire."
"Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man."
Now, we have another highly respected prophet, Ezekiel, describing the arrival of some type of vehicle similar to the one that picked up Elijah. Both descriptions have the same whirlwind, and the fire. Ezekiel adds the sight of smoke and, in this description we now have the appearance of "living creatures" which had the "likeness of a man".
If you read Chapter 1, you will see that the living creatures had crystal stretched over their heads, and that they were followed by giant wheels that appeared to be a "wheel in the middle of a wheel." And, these devices had rings, "so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them ."
Enormous rings with eyes. Wheels within wheels. Does this sound to you like something a spiritual being would use for movement through his universe? Do rings with eyes bring images of large saucer like-vehicles surrounded by windows or possibly lights that appear "eye-like"?
In verse 26, Ezekiel states:
"And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above it."
These are very troubling passages if you believe that God and angels, as described throughout the Bible, reside within a spiritual world. Clearly the descriptions relate to tangible and physical mechanisms. Ezekiel describes the type of clothing that these creatures are wearing, their boots and even the "throne" that they sit upon.
Do spiritual beings need boots? Do spiritual beings need a throne to sit upon? Do spiritual beings create whirlwinds, fire, and dust clouds as they make their arrival onto planet Earth? Your religious teachings probably do not want you to answer those questions, yet your common sense yells a resounding "no"! It's okay to question this. We are using passages from the Bible and we are reading about something from space that has very physical properties, coming to Earth. And, the descriptions came from two of the most respected men of the age.
Are you going to ignore this? A whole lot of people have because it doesn't fit with their nice little tidy view of God and angels, and such. Up until the time we started building, and testing, and using vehicles that could go to another celestial body and land, then return, I guess we could ignore it, because it just made no sense at all. But, you don't have that luxury anymore. You are of the space age and you know what these prophets saw --- whether you are ready to admit it or not, is insignificant.
Unfortunately, because people in Ezekiel's time were not even aware of the Earth's orbit or the existence of the planets within our own galaxy, they could hardly be expected to comprehend the fact that they were being visited by "living creatures", with the "likeness of a man" from another planet.
As we look closer at the mechanical appearing objects and the "four living creatures" with the "likeness of a man", that he describes, our understanding of what he could have possibly been looking at is certainly challenged.
"And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled like the color of burnished brass".
First he makes it very clear that he is not sure that it is a living creature, he thinks so, but there is some doubt. Whatever he is looking at, it has the "likeness" of a living creature. That could easily describe a robot, or a man in a space suit, something that moves on its own as if it were alive. I know a lot of kids that think "Bert" and "Ernie", "Big Bird" and "Cookie Monster" "have the likeness of four living creatures".
Next, Ezekiel says that not only does it appear to be living, but that it has the "likeness of a man". Again, he is not sure, there is some doubt, but it looks something "like" a man. Well, that fits the astronaut in a space suit description pretty well.
Then he looks at the feet. The feet have captured his attention. Ezekiel, and the people he knows, all wear sandals. The thing in front of him had "straight feet". Picture a boot; a boot that has no zippers, or buckles, or straps, just smooth with a high top, up to about mid-calf level. I have those boots and I wear them when I ride my motorcycle. And, if I stand in front of the mirror, it looks like I have "straight feet". You can't see the ankle of my foot or my toes or my heel, like you would if I wore a sandal, it is just a straight square looking thing.
And, still talking about the feet, Ezekiel says the bottom or "sole of the their feet was like a calf's foot". So, he saw something noticeably different between the feet and the sole of the feet. Same thing with my boots. There is a clear difference between the leather of the boot and the thick hard, sole and heel. He probably glanced down at his own feet and noted that his sandals did not have this thick "calf's foot" look about them. Had Ezekiel ever had the opportunity to look at the boots used by one of the U.S. astronauts, he would have seen a significant similarity between the thickness of the sole of the boot in front of him and that of the astronauts.
Finally, he says that the feet of this creature " sparkled like the colour of burnished brass". What an interesting description. If we look over at the book of Daniel, in the Holy Bible, and go to Chapter 10, verse 6, we see that Daniel also saw something very odd and he too described the feet as "like in color to polished brass". Isn't that amazing? Now we have three men of the Bible who are describing something from space that is clearly not of a spiritual world, or, they have all gone insane at the same time!
Ezekiel, was a highly respected man of his time. He was a prophet and it was necessary for him to address many people and speak to them in a manner that they could understand. He believed in God. He was articulate enough to describe what he saw, but on that day, the words were not there. He said they had " the likeness of "four living creatures." He didn't say it was four men, because it did not look like any men he had ever seen, and yet, it did have " the likeness of a man".
Today, of course, we have an unfair advantage over poor Ezekiel. He does not have a clue what he was looking at, but we can immediately bring to memory something that had " the likeness of a man", as we recall images of Neil Armstrong standing on the moon in a full space suit, or the beautiful site of a gleaming white suit, boots, reflective shield on a helmet, thick but nimble gloves, and life support packs that allow an American astronaut to float gracefully outside of the cargo bay of our Space Shuttle against a black sky and blue orb he calls home. Yet our religious "scholars" hold on to the absolutely absurd belief that all of this was God and angels, and spiritual beings, just like they once believed the Sun went around the Earth. Why? Because they continue to follow every word, as if it is literal in its translation.
But, we have advanced in our understanding of the universes and we know so many things now that remove the mystery and confusion of what men believed throughout history and, we should be applying our new information to help us better understand what was taking place in our past. Ezekiel says that the living creatures and the "wheels" were "lifted up from the earth". So he is reflecting on something that is flying in the air. Whether of divine intervention or made by some physical being, they were maneuvering in the air. Let us look at the exact wording of these wheels:
"The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl and they four had one likeness and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel."
He saw something in the air. He saw something that looked like a wheel inside another wheel. And, "the wheels and their work, ("work" meaning the mechanism or mechanics of the wheels) were "like the colour of a beryl". In later verses, he saw the wheels move together when the living creatures moved, and he saw that the rings of the wheels were full of "eyes".
It is fairly easy to picture a flying object that is a wheel within a wheel with "eyes'. The typical flying saucer design, complete with lights, or possibly windows, immediately comes to mind. But, of course, that would imply that Ezekiel was being visited by an advanced race of beings that had an understanding of aerodynamics and propulsion that is superior to what we have even today. That may be laughable to some, except it is curious that Ezekiel used the term "beryl" to describe the color. Beryl is a mineral that is predominately an aluminum beryllium silicate and defined as:
" corrosion-resistant rigid, steel, gray, metallic element used as an aerospace structural material "
Of all the descriptions he could have used, he chose one that we currently apply to "aerospace structural material". Coincidence? You know better!
Ezekiel later states that over the heads of the living creatures he saw the "likeness of a throne ". He didn't say a throne, he said it looked like a throne and it had, not a man, or a god, but "the likeness of a man" on it. And how did he describe this throne-like object?
" as the appearance of a sapphire stone"
Well, what does a "sapphire stone" look like?
Sapphire: Any of several relatively pure forms of corundum. A rare blue green, esp. a blue form used as a gemstone.
Sapphrine: A rare light-blue or green aluminum-magnesium silicate material.
Ezekiel saw something that looked like a throne with a rare blue-green color. But why didn't he just say, "It looked light blue, or green"? Why did he say a "sapphire stone"? Is there something else to his description? Yes, there certainly is.
First, corundum, the primary mineral of sapphire, is an extremely hard material containing aluminum oxide, silica, and magnesium. This coincides with the mineral description of sapphire. Second, aluminum oxide is a material used in refractories, ceramics, and electrical insulators. Third, silica is a colorless compound used in the manufacture of glass. Somewhere in the recesses of my mind, I remembered that the mineral mica was a silicate, so I confirmed it and found mica to be:
Any of a group of chemically and physically related mineral silicates "
Fourth, magnesium is a reasonably hard metallic element that is, among other things, used as a structural alloy in high performance aircraft.
Now lets apply a 21st century application to these minerals we just described. Among other things, silicon graphite is used as a "heat refractory" material (insulator) with a melting point of 1,410 degrees Centigrade (2,570 F). Coincidentally, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has designed the U.S. Space Shuttle with High-Temperature Reusable Surface Insulation (HRSI), ceramic tiles made of high-purity silica (99.8%). These HRSI tiles are designed to withstand re-entry temperatures up to 2300 degrees F when a vehicle (Space Shuttle) re-enters the Earth's atmosphere from space. In addition, a material known as carbon-carbon, when treated with a "dry pack material" made from alumina, silicon, and silicon carbide can be used on the Shuttle surfaces that may reach temperatures up to 3000 degrees F when re-entering the Earth's atmosphere.
Maybe there is no issue here. But, it seems strangely curious that a biblical story, written some 2500 years before 21st century man flew the first airplane, uses terminology that references the exact same materials employed today in the vehicles we use for space travel and forms the core of our high speed communications systems. And, most particularly, when that biblical passage was describing an event that can not be explained in any other way, except being the visit of an extraterrestrial craft. Using such terminology then, so we could relate to it today, is what proves to me that it was inspired by God. Clearly, Ezekiel could not have known all of this in his time.
Ezekiel used distinctive language to identify a silicate-based material when explaining the strange craft he observed. He also described what he saw with reference to a "corrosion-resistant rigid, steel, gray, metallic element used as an aerospace structural material". Silicate is the primary ingredient in the heat-reflective ceramic tiles used on the U.S. Space Shuttle. Silicate is also used as a critical component of computer chip, and semi-conductor technology for high speed computers and telecommunications. (i.e. Silicon Valley, California) The descriptions in the Holy Bible by Ezekiel, Isaiah, and Daniel are equally descriptive of our modern day spacecraft and the protective clothing worn by Earth's astronauts. Another coincidence, I think not!
The verses are full of physical things: motors, wheels, lights, structures, crystals, clothing and a throne. Ezekiel saw something that was not of this world and it was not of a spiritual world either.
Again referring to the translated version of the Kebra Nagast, provided by von Däniken, we find a very curious passage that is worth repeating here. After seducing the Queen of Sheba, King Solomon provides lavish gifts for her to take back to her homeland in Ethiopia. According to Chapter 30 of the Kebra Nagast:
"He gave unto her whatsoever she wished for of splendid things and riches, and beautiful apparel and everything on which great store was set in the country of Ethiopia, and camels and wagons in number, which were laden with beautiful things of the most desirable kind and wagons wherein loads were carried over the desert and a vessel wherein one could traverse the air, which Solomon had made by the wisdom God had given unto him."
One more time, look again at the last two lines:
" and a vessel wherein one could traverse the air, which Solomon had made by the wisdom God had given unto him."
According to this highly respected document, Solomon gave the Queen of Sheba an airplane for her long trip home!
Oh, and by the way. Remember Lamech and how he was concerned that Bitenosh had been unfaithful and that his new baby was "one of them". Here is the reason:
The Book of Enoch, which was removed from the Bible by the early Church fathers goes into great detail and tells us why Lamech was so concerned. The following, describing Lamech's newborn son, was taken from Chapter 106 of the Book of Enoch found in the Dead Sea Scrolls (this chapter was also referred to as the Fragment of the Book of Noah), as translated by R.H. Charles:
"And his body was white as snow and red as the blooming of a rose, and the hair of his head and his long locks were white as wool, and his eyes beautiful. And when he opened his eyes, he lighted up the whole house like the sun, and the whole house was very bright. And thereupon he arose in the hands of the midwife, opened his mouth, and conversed with the Lord of righteousness."
The physical appearance and the actions of his newborn baby frightened the daylights out of Lamech. He was very much aware that these "watchers" and "sons of heaven" were going around impregnating women and that the offspring were different. Moses spoke about it; the Kebra Nagast spoke about it; and Enoch went into great detail about it. As soon as Lamech saw the child, he went straight to Bitneosh for some answers. The book of Enoch went so far as to even claim that the vile acts of the "watchers" and "sons of heaven" was what caused the great Flood. That is very important. Can you guess now who Noah was? I told you earlier that he was the son of Lamech.
Noah, was also the one human specifically chosen to gather his family and survive the great Flood, and was none other than the child with the flashing eyes and long white locks who sat up in the hands of the midwife and spoke with God; the child of Lamech, who feared that his son was not all human; all according to the Dead Sea Scrolls. In the "court of circumstantial evidence", Bitenosh stands a good chance of being found guilty of infidelity and lying to her husband. Is this why Noah was chosen to survive the Flood? Was he one of them? Was Noah a direct descendent of the "sons of heaven"? You decide.
