On the afternoon of October
6, 2004
this photo was taken of the outside wall of the
old city jail in Charleston, S.C. The jail is no longer used
to house prisoners but is under various stages of repair
and maintenance for historical value. In its day, the
jail was a forboding structure and the site
of much suffering, torture, murders,
and public executions. The photo was was taken by
Rick Elder, using a Kodak
Digital 4330 DX with flash, and set for automatic focus. The
weather was clear and cool. Look at the very bright object in the
upper left of the photo. After the photo was taken, it was reviewed
on the digital camera screen and the bright object was noticed,
which gave the two researchers a chance to carefully examine the wall to
make sure that nothing was present that could have caused a reflection. The
angle of the wall to the camera would have also prevented any such
reflection coming straight back to the camera. Also, it appears
that the reflection 'spills' over to either side of the object,
or that the object is moving back and forth at very high speed,
leaving a trail, as seen with many orb photos. |
